About this deal

Disclosure: We are a professional review site that receives compensation from the companies whose products we review. The flashlights in every room is related to earthquakes where a person may be trapped behind a moved wall, stuck door. I’ve even used one many times under water for several minutes at each use with no water getting inside. The original LC40 is my EDC purely because it’s smaller, and so being smaller doesn’t so much make my EDC bag as large. A drop to less than 50% of the initial output in less than 2 minutes is not acceptable performance for me.

After the second one, which had a sticky On/Off/Mode switch, that tended to like the Strobe and SOS mode more than anything else, it seems that Anker modified the switch, making it more of a distinct two stage one, that it's now easier to select the mode you want, before the full press to enable it, Kudos to Anker! Flashlights with low candela measurements compared to their total light output tend to offer a flood pattern while high candela measurements for a similar output level suggest a more focused beam. Overall, while this is still a well-performing flashlight, for most people I think the original LC90 is a better choice. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

Guys When I use it contiunously for example 10-15 min, it getting hotter, As manuals says It can work 6 hours on medium level, So will it catch fire melt or something if it will be used for 6 hours? Anker did not request I review this light, nor was any form of compensation offered to review it by anyone. On one of my current flashlights I had replaced, the company sent me an updated version that also uses a smaller power button and often times it gets stuck or jamed…do you see that possibly happening with this? Advertising a product as having passed certain criteria when it has not been tested to that standard is a serious problem. The tailcap must be fully removed to access the port, so I had hoped Anker managed to make this waterproof. The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purposes of displaying and measuring personalized ads, generating audience insights, and developing and improving products. I recommend pairing whichever one you get with the Powerport Solar so you can shine at night and recharge during the day. From battery packs to phone chargers, Anker offers a broad range of products that frequently get excellent reviews.

They mention that it is a very good torch, the best they've ever used, and brilliantly powerful for their needs. The 900 Lumen LED is powered by Anker's advanced battery technology that prevents over and undercharging, preserving the battery's lifespan. The light is cool in temperature and on high is very bright, more than adequate on medium and not much of a reduction in low mode.Additionally, it offers 5 power levels, allowing users to adjust the brightness according to their needs. The information also allows you to draw your own conclusions about how well a manufacturer has represented its product. So the stick-on lights are wonderful, once your eyes dark adjusted you can wander around the house with no flashlights and just them sense you and come on.

Anker lists the flashlight specifications in a table that seems to suggest compliance with the FL1 flashlight standard issued by ANSI/PLATO. From 100% output to less than 9% output – the generally accepted measurement in the industry – the LC90 showed a runtime of 4 hours 17 minutes. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. Equipped with a USB charging port, the Anker LC90 offers the convenience of recharging the flashlight without the need for disposable batteries. The Anker Rechargeable Bolder LC90 LED Flashlight is a powerful pocket sized flashlight that will light of the night that is built to last. With its waterproof feature and International Protection (IP) code of IP65, it is capable of withstanding water splashes from any direction and offers durability in various weather conditions. Since we’re right in the middle, I want to do a test to see who actually read these reviews, and who just looks at the pictures. If I hold the Anker LC90 to the 50% standard I’ve proposed, the flashlight would have a runtime of less than 2 minutes.
